Actually, thats the SDF-1 and the SDF-1, the one on the left is from the original Macross series. The one on the right is the movie version of the same ship. It is the movie version, and all of the designs from the movie, that gets used in all of the sequels (Macross Plus, Macross 7, Macross Frontier, and Macross 2). Interestingly, are two completely different different designs for the SDF-2, one is from the series, and is never actually seen (other than the bridge) in the series. The second design is seen at the end of Flashback 2012.
